Improving dementia care in the RVH

Roseanna Christie and Niamh Clarke reached out to the art department, they are two of the ward sisters in the Respiratory unit, RVH.

They are currently working on a project to improve dementia care on the ward. They asked would we be interested in providing some art work for the rooms on the ward to make the rooms more homely. St. Dominic’s art department were delighted to help with this and provided some local art for the ward. They have 24 side rooms and a family room and we provided more 30 pieces of art work.

We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of such a worthwhile, meaningful and interesting project. We hope this is the start of a long journey of providing art work for future years.
