8C have been learning about fossil formation and today were making ammonite fossils during their lesson. Ammonites were sea creatures (shelled cephalopods) that lived before and at the same time as dinosaurs, they died out about 66 million years ago. They were a bit like a modern-day squid or octopus with a shell. Ammonite fossils have been found all over the world. The fossils resemble a curled-up snake. Well done 8C!
