Exploring Music Through Colour and Line in Year 8 Art

Today, our Year 8 art pupils dove into an inspiring project combining music and visual art.

Each student responded instinctively to the rhythms, tones, and emotions of the music, translating what they heard into expressive lines, shapes, and colours on paper. Smooth, flowing melodies inspired sweeping curves and soft hues, while upbeat, energetic tracks led to bold, jagged lines and vibrant splashes of colour.

What an incredible way to explore the connection between art, emotion and sound!
